    Ten-Second Takeaway

If the mountains {hills in this case} are calling, this Coorg plantation property is where you need to head to. Porcupine Castle, situated smack on top of a lush green coffee plantation, is your weekend getaway 101.

A Lot Can Happen Over A Coffee Plantation

Imagine Coorg’s never-ending coffee estates. Now imagine a property smack in the centre of one. Paints quite a picture, doesn’t it? Well, Porcupine Castle makes your imagination a reality with its perched-on-top-of-a-coffee-plantation locale. A 300-acre coffee plantation that’s bound by Coorg’s unending valleys and hills and right on top sit this property. Now, who wouldn’t want to spend their weekend here, right? Baes, fam jams, and even squads are all welcome to this property, which is a weekend getaway destination that needs to be explored, experienced, and enjoyed. Misty mornings, beautiful sunrises, and if you are lucky, the Coorg rain are all waiting for you here.

    Plantation Stay

Accommodation at Porcupine Castle is divided into chalets and tree houses. Both of these types of accommodation are well-appointed and come with all the amenities required for you to have a rather pleasant stay. The chalets are either valley facing or mountain facing, and from the private balcony, the view is Instagram-worthy. Oh, special mention to the chalets, as they have spacious living areas, mini walk-in closets and large en-suite baths. Perched on a black currant tree and tucked 40 feet above ground, The Nest is the perfect romantic getaway. Tailor made for an adventurous couple looking out for an adventurous experience. The treehouses are more of the romantic settings — cuddle up and the likes. Chalets and treehouses are available between INR 6,500 and INR 8,500 for two per day.

    Stay Put Or Stay Out

With so much to do in and around the property, your weekend getaway or long weekend might seem a little too short. Nonetheless, if you plan well and inform the hosts, you’ll find yourself doing everything from sightseeing to estate walks. Oh, and did we mention the absolutely gorgeous infinity pool that blends in oh-so-beautifully with the surrounding. Simply float about and enjoy the pristine view of the mountains and valleys. We hear sunsets are quite the romantic sight from the pool.

If you’re friends with the avian folks, the property houses hundreds of exotic birds like the Great Pied Hornbills, Blue-Winged Parakeets, White Bellied Treepies, and Laughing Thrushes. Don’t forget to pack the DSLR and binoculars. For those who want to get out, get their hands dirty and get an adrenaline rush, the off-roading estate tour is for you to enjoy and experience Coorg in its rawest form.
