What Makes It Awesome

If you are like us, who love the smell of old books, spend hours inside a used book store looking for rare tomes, and have a thing for published works centuries-old, then you'll love Quitaab just as much as we do. The book child of Anushri Bhattacharya, Quitaab came about with Anushri collecting books during her travels. While we are still trying to wrap around how she's dearly (we assume) departing with her collection, she tells us that the idea of Quitaab is for those who love and care about vintage books. And want to have a piece of nostalgia and history with them. Something that can be cherished or even be gifted to someone who shares if not the same but similar beliefs.

The current collection of Quitaab has 18 works (you can find all the works on Champaca's online bookstore) which include The Three Musketeers, The Last Days of Pompeii, The Pickwick Papers, and Villette. The last one by Charlotte Bronte is one of the oldest books in the collection -- it was published in 1896. Oh, and it's not just a rare book that you get to buy. You get the book inside a thoughtfully curated wooden box, a gift box of sorts, that has the book safely tucked away in a pouch, a pair of gloves, a magnifying glass, and a letter (in case you want to gift this to someone or yourself). A collector's box no less.

If you are thinking about the condition of the book, rest assured that they are in prime condition. Just remember that this is more of a collector's item and to have it part of your library. And not to be used as reading materials. The gloves are there to prevent any smudges or oil from damaging the papers.
