The ReRoll Board Games Collective is bringing Bangalore closer — one board game at a time. Plus, they also do fun, regular workshops if you are interested.
This Board Games Collective Wants To Put The Fun Back In Games So That You Are Never Bored
Board games form a part of everyone’s childhood, and a huge part at that. The real question is why did we stop? Well, Karthik Balakrishnan had the same thought and so, started the ReRoll Board Games Collective in July last year. ReRoll is a Bangalore based community looking to bring back and spread the board games culture, apart from usual suspects like Monopoly and Scrabble. They look to bring forward new games and improve social interaction through the board games. From their first event at the Humming Tree, they’ve come a long long way. The collective serves as a great icebreaker — how fun does socialising over board games sound?
With ReRoll, you can get connected with hundreds of board game lovers and novices across the city. You could even go to people’s houses and join in the gaming sessions. They take away the regular social interaction in pubs and bars and mix it up with boardgames — giving you a mix. According to the ReRoll folks, all their games are sourced from the US and UK.
They host an event in Games Khopcha every Thursday, called TableTop Thursdays. Head there and experience it for yourself. Now in their 40th week, TableTop Thursdays aims to break the ice or ignite a rivalry with your friends/SO with new and interesting games. Pick it up, ask them and they’ll explain. Go head to head, take over an entire city or fight a dangerous epidemic — if board games are your thing. Manipulation, Deception and Cooperation — this collective has a game for all.
