Passing Through Mysore? Why Not Stay A While At These Resorts To Relax And Unwind

The information in this post might be outdated

Visiting Mysore for the first time (or the Nth time)? Looking for a relaxed and pampered quick holiday at a resort with a pool? We have got you covered with our curated list of resorts in Mysore that’s perfect for checking in solo, with bae, fam or the squad. And whether you are driving down or revving it up on the highway with your bike, let us help you out a bit more. You definitely need to check out our list of things to do and see while en route to Mysore. Also, make sure to make a pitstop at Depth N Green Cafe for their cookies and thalis. Thank us later!

The Windflower Resort & Spa

The Windflower Resort & Spa is tempting. And why wouldn’t you give in to the resort which features palatial rooms, gorgeous and private sit-outs for you to kick back with a best-seller, and villas that come with private plunge pools? Pick dibs on the villas if you are checking with the fam or squad. There’s even an outdoor pool for you to take a lap or two before retiring to the spa centre for some detox time. Olive Garden and The Vineyard Bistro are the resort’s dining central with Olive Garden serving multi-cuisine spread while the Bistro doubles up as a spot for breakfast as well as some cocktails. Activities within the resort such as life-size chess, Segway rides, and badminton should keep you occupied.

Silent Shores Resort & Spa

You can trek up Chamundi Hills and see the whole city of Mysore or go on a safari at Bandipur Tiger Reserve — Silent Shores Resort & Spa’s location is what makes it so perfect to check into to break the journey. And if you are really serious about unwinding, the resort’s spa which offers Swedish, Balinese, Ayurvedic services. Suites and cottages steal the thunder from deluxe and duplex accommodations simply for their amenities and views. The cottages offer the view of the man-made river from the balcony sit-outs. And the suites have whirlpool bathtubs for you to lounge in with a glass of wine. Ambrosia for its multi-cuisine spread, Spring for its lake-side dining, and Amphora for cocktails and catch up sessions, should sort you out in the dining department.

Grand Mercure Resort

Located in the city’s heart, just north of the majestic Mysore Palace, the Grand Mercure Resort boasts a total of 146 rooms and suites. Complimentary breakfast makes us happy, while La Uppu, By The Blue, Silk Bar, and Deli Shop are where you can pop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner. By The Blue, the North Indian cuisine specialist is easily our favourite with its rooftop setting and overlooking the pool view. There isn’t much to do except that there’s a fitness centre and a spa. You can read more about our experience at Grand Mercure here.

The Village Resort

Rustic ambience meets modern amenities at The Village and this one with its romantic vibes and private villas make it the perfect spot for couples looking to get away from the city life. You can check into the jumbo suites that are perfect if you are checking in with the family and kids, or you could go all out and check in the Penthouse. This is easily our favourite spot too as it offers the best view of Chamundi Hills. Trekking to the hills come highly recommended as is taking a lap in the swimming pool that comes with a jacuzzi. There is a basketball court and cricket nets for you to not laze around the entirety of your trip as well.

Amblee Resort

Ducks, pools, and a pocket-friendly fare are what makes Amblee Resort feature on our list. Fishing and boating are what you can do at the resort, if you are planning on venturing out of your duplex suite (or classic suit). The best part is all the rooms come with private balconies that look out to the Cauvery River flowing nearby. Grab a book or plug in your earphones and listen to music — there’s plenty of space to do all that. There’s also billiards for anyone who’s planning to stay put.
