Enjoy a coastal fare of Indian, Chinese and Continental classics paired with some great booze at Whitefield’s Riverside Bar And Kitchen.

Off The Coast

All the way up in Whitefield, Riverside Bar and Kitchen is where all you seafood lovers need to head to for all the shrimp, crab and fish you can handle along with a tall drink. With a 15-page long menu, choose from dishes like Konkan fish tikka to seafood rice noodles, across Indian, Chinese and Continental genres. We’re loving their calamari fry and their crab dishes, and their Chicken Neer Dosa here is a must try too.

Although they have many vegetarian options as well, if you’re not here to try the seafood, it will seem like a wasted trip. However, we should mention that since they focus heavily on seafood, a lot of the dishes served here are seasonal and may not always be available which is a bit of a downer but there’s still plenty left to pick from. You can find a lot of chicken and mutton on the menu too in the form of kebabs and in curries. If all else fails, stick to the classics and order a serving of dum biryani offered here. And don’t forget to order a beer or cocktail to go along with that.

Mellow Vibes

The set up of the restaurant, complete with simple chairs and tables, soft yellow lights and outdoor seating, is elegant and perfect for date nights. With a high roof, a buzzing crowd and retro music playing in the background, this is a great place to unwind with some drinks and you can catch live sports on their TV screens {post work hangout, anyone?}. Or plonk yourself under one of their big garden umbrellas in their al fresco space and enjoy the lovely weather outside. Prices are moderate with a meal for two costing you close to INR 1,000. So take a trip to the coast {a trip to Whitefield seems about that long} and tuck into these seafood classics in an easy breezy setting.
