What Makes It Awesome

Namma Bengaluru's claim to fame is our sakkath hot donne biryani scene! While we all have our favourites set in stone, what if we tell you there's a new kid on the block that's taking the city (read: even vegetarians) by storm? No, we're not making this up because RNR Biryani exists. We're sure you've heard of this iconic spot already and seen their lip smackingly good donne biryani all over the internet, but what makes RNR's food so memorable? It's simple, in fact, it's what makes all our family recipes so special -- it's ajji's secret recipe that's been in the family for over 60 years!

RNR's special "Namma Donne Biryani" boasts all the classic ingredients and some secret ones too, and from reviews we've watched and heard, it tastes as authentic, if not better than the OG dish. The rice is fragrant, the masala rich and the meat succulent, all-in-all in a dish that will have you coming back for more. Although the biryani is the star here, the sides are equally tempting. The vegetarians (meat-eaters too) are gushing about the signature Drumstick Chilli, a veg iteration of the traditional Andhra Chilli Chicken. The RNR Special Kshatriya Chicken Kebab and Mutton Nalli Fry are other must-try dishes too. As an end to your meal, you must order one of RNR's traditional-but-not-so desserts -- the Rasmalai Cremeux and Elaneer Payasam.

Can't wait to dig in? Head to RNR's newest outlet located in 4th Block Jayanagar. In terms of decor this spot is tastefully done and feels much like a modern-day family restaurant. The menu is pretty fairly priced for the tasty, quality fare they serve too, ranging from INR 90 to INR 390.

Pro-Tip

Fair warning, RNR Biryani is packed on the weekends, sometimes weekdays too, so there will be a wait time, but it's worth it! If you can't make a trip here, no sweat, order in! RNR Biryani's stellar tin packaging is quite unique too and will make sure your meal reaches you piping hot.
