The best way to soak up on Bangalore’s famed weather is by hitting up the al fresco settings of the city’s many rooftop bars. And what better place to let your hair down than Koramangala. From spacious rooftop community settings of Koramangala Social to the date night-worthy The Reservoire, here are seven spots in Koramangala guaranteed to offer the best of open-air rooftop ambience. Save this recommendation and head straight to these rooftop bars in Koramangala.

Indigo XP

The revamped version of Indigo XP has us swooning. Long and high tables offer the perfect setting to check in with the squad on weekends or for an after-work drink scene with the work folks. A global menu with a twist is their calling card when it comes to food — Beetroot Galouti to Caramelised Pork Ribs. And keeping up with the true Indigo style, quirkily-named drinks such as the gin-vodka-tequila-rum based Seven Sultans Of Swing to Kiwin Me Softly should keep you merry on your night out. Don’t forget to head downstairs for some karaoke, live music, and a very Tomorrowland-like setting with LED lights and the whole music festival feels.

The Terrace At Gilly's Redefined

The plush lounge seating with a dance floor smack in the centre wins it for us. With the DJ spinning his hits all through the week, there’s no shortage of groovy tracks for you to shake your leg to while enjoying some of that Bangalore breeze and Gilly’s bar nibbles such as Drunken Prawns and Cilantro Nachos {yup, they have the same menu as Myu Bar downstairs}. Drinks are plenty with potent cocktails such as One Foot Island Lagoon and The Angry Bird keeping you in buzz.

The Reservoire

Dreamy date nights on a rooftop setting and that too smack in the middle of Koramangala are what makes this place tick. The rooftop with its industrial accents and design quirks feature cosy birdcage booth seating, colourful chairs, and fairy lights. Essentially a cocktail bar serving winners like the Fizzy Girl {vodka based} and smoky Pick Me Up {whiskey based}, this bar doubles up as a cafe too. Or wait, it also triples up as a workspace. So maybe after a meeting with your office folks, you can kick back and down some cocktails with your peeps. Eat everything from Chicken Nippat Masala to pizza, as the food too doesn’t disappoint. Brooks & Bonds

Brooks & Bonds is another new bar making its mark in Koramangala’s al fresco rooftop scenes. More accurately, it a microbrewery with the taps sets to open by the end of March. Once craft brew is in the house, you’ve got more reasons to head to this three-floored space. The decor is industrial with plenty of long tables and high tables and while it’s not as spacious as the other rooftop bars on the list, it does have enough space for you to relax with cocktails and the usual bar fare.

The Local - Terrace Drinkery

Our favourite adda for some draught beer and after work drink scenes, The Local offers a rooftop setting that’s perfect for all sorts of shenanigans. Dotted with planters, creepers, and potted plants, it’s got a rustic charm courtesy old furniture and exposed bricks. Come match days, you will find the rooftop crowded with sports enthusiasts watching their teams play all while munching on Shezwan Momos and Chicken Wings in BBQ Sauce. Weekdays, the space converts into one of those romantic settings for couples on date nights and an adda for the squad.

Koramangala Social

The rooftop setting of Koramangala Social is one for the design books and one to replicate {well, almost}. Long community tables made of entire logs dominate the rooftop of that’s overrun with greens of all sizes, given off that very distinct jungle setting. Earlier the space had an open-to-the-sky design, which was later covered off with strong tarpaulin. That doesn’t stop the open-air ambience, in fact, it just makes it perfect especially when there’s a light shower. Tikka Tacos, Magic Kebabs, Death Wings, China Box, and quirky drinks such as Aacharoska, Trip On The Drip, and The Lantern should keep your tummy filled and thirst quenched.
