Learn To Drape Your Wedding Saree In More Ways Than One At This Draping Workshop

There’s a saree draping workshop happening in town that will help us master pleats and folds and finally make all our moms proud. Teaching us how to drape a saree in more than one way, the workshop will be conducted by Niketa Malhotra from The Indian Draping Company, who will take us through unique and functional ways to model the versatile garment for women on the go. The workshop is happening this weekend at Indiranagar boutique Timri and you can pick your slots and clear out your schedules and bring your best saree along.

For saree draping noobs {we’re guilty too} and those who’re looking to learning new ways to sport those fabulous six yards. Plus, those who want to know how to drape a saree on their big day {read wedding}. Taking you through popular regional drapes, Niketa Malhotra will begin with a quick history session on the evolution of the humble saree, before diving straight into a few unique ways to wear it.

Because let’s be real, knowing how to drape a saree is nothing short of a life skill and this is a great way to learn it. Plus, you can skip the plain jane pleats and folds and don a whole new drape at the next big event you’ll be at. And the workshop will let you bring your own personal style to the drape. With over a hundred ways to drape a saree, we’re excited about what we’ll be getting to learn at the workshop, which will be incorporating contemporary elements to the traditional drape {so no more tripping on your saree fall}.
