Sarjapur’s popular microbrewery — Big Brewsky — is serving up an all-new menu under the watchful eye of popular Delhi chef Sabyasachi Gorai aka chef Saby. Expect everything from piquant flavours of Asia to north Karnataka favourites and Italian biggies to sinful desserts. And vegetarians, there’s plenty for you too.

Alcohol You Later

What’s better than a summer cocktail? Well, Big Brewsky‘s new cocktail menu paired with their awesome poolside ambience. And boy, every cocktail is beautifully presented. You will want to put each of these on your Instagram Stories! If you are hanging out in a group, then might we suggest you start off with the Fruit Punch. A citrusy concoction with gin, elderflower, berry juice, and spice, the drink gets a splash of colour with the purple flower {Morning Glory} as a garnish.

For those afternoon dates, Yellow Jacket, an exotic twist on the classic Whisky Sour, made with homemade turmeric syrup, lemon juice, egg white, and of course Bourbon whisky is “the” drink. Other specials include the colourful Pink Orchard, The Great Pretender, and My Old Pal, a reworked version of an espresso martini.

What's On The Menu?

Start off here with the Spicy Tuna Maki, which comes with a distinctive fiery kick. The Crystal Shine Dim Sums is made of a transparent soft dough, so that you can see the rich filling of lotus roots, bell peppers, carrots, and coriander inside, before you tuck in. The appetisers take inspiration from all around the world. Be it the African Suya kebab with its well-marinated chicken bursting with fiery flavours straight off the streets of Kenya or the Hot Black Prawns, lightly tossed and covered in a generous amount of black bean sauce for that subtle spicy kick.

A lunch without pizza is a crime. There’s the Red Chicken, a thin crust, wood fired pizza with spicy paprika chicken topped, and loads of jalapeno, olive, and onions. Other highlights include Bacon Wrapped Chicken to the soft, tender slow cooked duck breast with maple chilli glaze and the sumptuous Moradabadi Saffron Murgh handi biryani. Finish off with chef Saby’s Asura’s Devil Chocolate cake, a take on the chocolate mud cake. You’ll love the gooey dark chocolate sauce filling.

Green Theory

Vegetarians, you should definitely try the Black Rice Mushroom Risotto, Garden City pizza, and Brewsky Kathal and Soya Chaap biryani from the menu. The wood fired pizza is one of the best veg pizzas we have had — spicy, loaded with veggies, and finished off with rocket leaves.

But wait! These guys also have a small healthy menu with salads such as an Apple and Sundried Tomato one. This salad bowl comes with a generous amount of greens and is loaded with soft feta cheese and kalamata olives and finished off with sundried tomato vinaigrette. The limited healthy options also include a Watermelon and Goat Cheese Salad and Ceasar Salad.

So, We Are Thinking...

The fact that we went to Big Brewsky and did not have craft beer, might make you wonder. But we were told that the microbrewery is currently in the process of fine-tuning its craft beer flavours.  We will wait for the beers to be back on tap, meanwhile we are still going back for the absolutely smashing African Suya kebab.
