After Church Street, Whitefiled, and Koramangala, Bangalore’s getting a fourth Social and this time it’s in the heart of Bangalore’s IT hub, Sarjapur. Oh yes, no more having to trudge to Koramangala {come on, we know it’s your favourite} to enjoy some house music and those potent and quirky cocktails like Aacharoska, The Lantern, Social Screwdriver and those LLIITs. And of course, the grub which includes our favourites such as the breakfast trays, Death Wings, Magic Kebabs, and China Boxes. All you folks living in Marathahalli, Bellandur, and Sarjapur, it’s your turn to ‘Social’ise.
Luckily for people living in areas like Koramangala {this writer for example}, you don’t have to brave the Outer Ring Road traffic to reach the new outlet. The new one is located right opposite the Wipro office above the Star Bazaar building and you can actually see an orange-white signboard which says “WIP SOCIAL” in Social’s all-too-familiar stencil font. You’ll have to crane your neck a little too hard to spot the signboard, but in case you didn’t believe us and need proof, go for it. We hear it’s going to be the largest Social in the country {see Sarjapur folks, you guys are lucky} and given that it’s on the top floor {seventh floor to be precise}, we are expecting a rooftop setting akin to the one in Koramangala. One can only guess what the theme is going to be.
