A Lakeside Camp, Barbeque Under The Stars & Ooty: Your Weekend Escape Is Here

The information in this post might be outdated

What Is It?

It’s a weekend of enjoying Ooty’s salubrious weather and a camping out session under the stars. Say hello to Kikui Farm’s Saturday Night Starlight Barbecue Series. Organised by Kikui Farm, the same folks who deliver farm fresh produce to Bangalore {you can read about them here}, we hear it’s going to be an off-grid weekend filled with music, barbeque, and that lakeside campsite that is giving us major travel goals.

Who Is It For?

It’s for anyone who’s looking to escape the city life and have a fun weekend out in the wilderness with good music, games, and camping. We did tell you the setting is lakeside right? The farm is near Avalanche Lake, so you’ve got this picturesque setting that can make it way to your Instagram feed as well.

Why Should I Go For It?

Barbeque under the stars should give you enough and more reason to check this out. It’s giving us enough reason to pack our bags and head there. Now, a bit more about the campsite, well, you are going to have tents complete with sleeping bags, there’s going to be barbeque like we said. The barbeque is all you can eat and it will have everything from farm fresh veggies to meat and if things work out a suckling pig as well. Told you, this is going to be fun! There’s going to be games and music too guys, so there’s that to look forward to as well. Oh, and you are free to BYOB as well, so hey, barbeque + booze = winner, right?

Also, the farm is located near the Red Hill Nature Resort, so it’s about a half hour walk from there. So be sure to bring your trekking shoes. Oh, and do pack some warm clothes.
