With A View To Kill

Waking up to the gentle, salty breeze and a stunning view of the Arabian sea, is just one of the many perks when you stay at the Sea Hut, a homestay in Kochi. An idyllic cottage with traditional architecture, the ambience brings out the home in this homestay with a long verandah, wooden accents and coloured glass panels —  you will never need to wear footwear, because outside your room, a soft, sandy garden awaits. Chill in your own private garden with ocean views in the fine company of a book or walk down to the beach and perch on the rocks nearby, where you will have an interrupted view of the sun setting on the sea.

Room of Requirement

The cottage has a mix of accommodation styles, some of which have sea views. You can opt for AC or Non AC rooms, and the Deluxe room can accommodate upto 4. If you are travelling in a group, then the sea view Deluxe rooms are perfect and also come with a tiny staircase leading up to an extra bed. The standard rooms are homely and located along the verandah and furnished with basic amenities.

Sea To Table

The team at Sea Hut makes sure you are happy and fed. They serve you a typical Kerala style brekkie with appams and potato curry, or you can mix it up with their English breakfast spread — toast with butter and jam and eggs. For an extra charge {and advance notice}, you can place a request for lunch and dinner. This includes feasting on a fresh seafood spread of fish or prawns, cooked in Kerala style curries, and served with appam or rice. The food is simple, wholesome and authentic.

Eat, Pray And Love

The property is located in the quiet part of town, with easy access to the city centre. Enjoy lazy strolls through streets with old town architecture, Portuguese-style churches and local markets. The beach is 2 kms away and the historic Dutch Palace or Mattancherry Palace, is 4 kms away. The famous Kayees Biryani restaurant is a 10 minute drive away, which is worth a visit for their mutton biryani.
