What Makes It Awesome

Serenity Lifestyle Store in Jayamahal Extension stocks up on handlooms and handicrafts from all over the country. What initially started as a designer store that showcased Arati's own creations and a few other designer products has turned into a non-profit store in 2017. The store showcases products made by self-help groups and craft groups such as clothing, jewellery, and home decor. Dama Cotton Handlooms, a venture of Dastkar Andhra Association has its store inside Serenity and they sell sarees, dresses, dupattas, and stoles made out of Andhra Cotton.

Shop crochet jewellery such as necklaces, earrings ranging from drop earrings to hoops starting at INR 380 by Samoolam. Find home decor and gifting products made out of brass, wood, and terracotta such as lamp holders, lanterns, planters for your garden, kitsch jewellery hangers and hand-painted kettles by Uru India at the store. They also stock up on clothing from Punar Jeevana which is a Karnataka Textile Revival brand. Arati, who is a fashion designer, stocks a limited collection of her designs at the store as well. The price here starts at INR 150 and goes up to INR 6,000. All the profits made here is donated to causes and NGOs that Serenity Lifestyle store supports. They also conduct art and handicraft events at the store, so check their facebook page for any upcoming events.
