Infinity Pool, Persian Terraces And Swish Suites: Check Into This Swanky Star Hotel At Brigade Gateway
Shortcut
It's Grand!
From being just the Sheraton Bangalore to being a Sheraton Grand in just two years of opening, this hotel brought back glamour to West Bangalore — a locale that had otherwise earned a name of being old-school and the sleepy side of town. Rooms range from premier deluxe to the Presidential Suite, but uniformly, they’re very airy, with large ceiling to floor windows to let natural light stream in. There are also lake and pool view rooms, if you the sort who like to overlook something interesting as you drink your morning cuppa. Club rooms, and junior suites are swish with added amenities like access to the club floor that itself has club lounge which is #lifegoals!
The Presidential Suite is the high point if you’re willing to splurge on your stay. It has stellar views of the pretty side of the city, with lavish furniture that blends traditional comforts with modern Western decor too. A palatial master bedroom, a marble bathroom, and separate living room, study and dining space will make you want to move in… forever. Feel free to check in, and invite us to tea!
Food For Thought
The hotel has five ‘wining’ and dining options which includes Feast, a 24-hour coffee shop that will sort you out with breakfasts that will make you want to skip lunch. No really, they have about five stations with Western, Indian, organic and healthy options. We love the Health Bar for their granola cereal, fruit compote, smoothies. This is also the restaurant that does food festivals ranging from Kerala specials to Oktober fests. Bene (both the main restaurant and the al fresco space) does Italian spot on. Wood-fired pizzas, creamy pastas and a vast selection of wine makes it a real winner when it comes to Italian food in the entire city. Persian Terrace is ideal for a romantic dinner as it’s an al fresco that overlooks Malleswaram and Rajajinagar. The beautifully lit up ISCKON Temple is just an added bonus when it comes to views from here. Focussing on Arabian food, think fragrant pilafs and mezze platters all night long! They also have a poolside bar and a lobby lounge for a quick drink, be it a Daiquiri or a cup of Darjeeling tea.
Party Time
Oh, but you must stay here for the infinity pool. I once checked in for the fun of it, and it was the best part of my stay. You can take in the balmy Bangalore air on the sunbeds, get yourself some fresh fruit juice, or even a colourful cocktail from the pool bar. All this after your workout at the fitness centre which is equipped with treadmills, cross-trainers, multi-gyms and dumbbells, perhaps! When you’re done exploring the hotel, however, all you need to do is step out, and you’ll be in the thick of things in just about 10 steps. No jokes.
Smack in the centre of Brigade Gateway, what this hotel wins tremendous points for is that in part of a larger community that includes apartments, schools, shopping malls, a business centre as well as numerous restaurants. There’s even a manmade lake and promenade that you can stroll around in the evening, before hitting up Orion Mall for food, shopping and drinks. Of course, there’s also a multiplex for you to catch up on the latest films. We’re planning a quick staycation again!
