Head straight to the often ignored section of Safina Plaza – the first floor – and you’ll find the outfit of your dreams. From gorgeous silk sarees to funky cottons and sparkly lehengas — the stores here have it all. Here are our top five picks.

Kara’s

This corner shop is where you’ll find dreamy lehengas and gorgeous blouses that look like they are straight out of a Bollywood blockbuster. The boutique offers a fabulous collection of lehengas that begin at INR 5,000 and go up to INR 70,000. They have ones with simple Bandhini prints and also elaborate ones with sequin and beadwork. If you want to take your saree to the next level with a gorgeous blouse, they have readymade ones beginning at just INR 1,200. The store is stocked with stacks of cottons beginning at about INR 195 per metre. Block prints, Bhagru, Ikats,  and Mangalgiri – all make an appearance here. If you plan to stick to sarees, then, go with Chanderis or Kota cottons (INR 1350 and upwards).

Mitu's Boutique

Flowy sarees with ethnic-inspired prints grace the shelves at this delightful little boutique. We spotted jamdhani, matka silks and linen, all adorned with delicate floral work. They also have lovely Bengal cotton sarees, if you want to go for that classic look. What's more, you can make your look more interesting by accessorizing with their range of embroidered, silk scarves and dupattas.
