    Located 7km from the District Headquarters in Madikeri, Silver Brook Estate captures all that Coorg represents. The fresh air is filled with the aroma of coffee, you can listen to the sounds of the nearby babbling brook and the constant chatter of birds. The scenic beauty here is a sight for sore eyes. Lush greenery all around and silver oaks surround the property, hugged by vines of pepper.

    Take your family, your S.O, or even go alone! This estate caters to all your needs. Silver Brook Estate offers 5 rooms, well equipped with TVs, attached baths and king size beds, split between three separate units. Two are part of the main bungalow, so perfect for a couple. And two are part of a separate unit, with one being independent with its own sit out area. The tariffs vary by the month, but a room costs between INR 5,000 and 7,000.

    The food here deserves a special mention on its own. The owner, Yogesh, is an ex-Taj chef and puts his personal touch into the food. Expect authentic Coorg cuisine with rich pandi curry, pepper infused chicken and other dishes along with dosas, and other south Indian fare.  From the continental selection, take your pick of pastas and fried chicken.

    Silver Brook Estate also comes with a well stocked library, loads of indoor board games, hammocks and a bonfire pit for grills and campfire bonhomie.

    Okay, So What's Around?

    There are loads of trekking spots in and around the estate, like the Botlappa cave temple, coffee plantations and the brook.
    Outside the estate there are full day trips like the Dubare elephant camp, Tibetan Monastery, Abbey Falls and Nagarhole Wildlife Sanctuary.
