Well, the folks behind this party, Sip and Swap, have been organising such parties across the country, and now they are here to host the Bangalore edition. Basically, this party will have you meeting strangers and exchanging a book for a book. It’s happening at Church Street Social guys, so all you lazy people, you’ve enough reason to step out on a Sunday.

Bibliophiles this one is for you. Oh, and people looking to expand their social circle, this one’s for you as well. What better way to meet like-minded people that at a book swap party, right? Just make sure that you come with your favourite book you want to exchange.
Why Should I Go For It?
If your idea of spending Sunday is in the comfort of your bed {not that it’s not the best idea ever}, then this party should get you enough motivation to get out of bed. And plus when you put books, strangers, and Social together, you know you’ve got yourself an eventful Sunday.
The rules of the party? Bring your favourite book {in English and fiction/non-fiction only} that’s in good condition {no tears, torn covers, and the likes}. Can’t part with your favourite book? Pick out the same title at Blossom or bring your second favourite book and come to the party. Now, here’s where things get interesting. Grab a chair and once the moderators have settled you in, you’ll have one minute to pitch your book to the person sitting opposite you. Same goes for the person sitting opposite you as well. Sounds familiar right? Yes, it’s basically speed dating, but for your books. Not interested in the other person’s book? Or vice versa? Move on to the next person till you find that book that talks to you. Once you’ve found your match, go ahead and swap your book.
The event doesn’t end here though guys, because once everyone’s found their match {or not}, there’s going to be a session called Let’s Talk where you get to talk and hear interesting stories of the people present there. See, told you can expand your social circle.
