Navroz is an auspicious occasion for the Parsi community. Navroze means the beginning of a new day or the celebration of the New Year.
The Thaali was served in a large brass plate which had a banana leaf on it. It was a treat to the eyes as well as the tummy.
The Bhonu comprises of:
1. Russian salad
2. Gajar mewa nu achaar (carrot and dry fruits pickle) this had a lot of flavours. And it's my favourite pickle ever.
3. Saria Papad (rice crackers)
4. Fish pattice (stuffed with fish and potatoes) this is mildly spicy and crispy.
The vegetarian alternative is a vegetable cheese pattice.
5. Kid Gosh is tender lamb cooked in rich cashew & coconut gravy.
6. Jardaloo Marghi is a chicken curry with apricots. / Vegetable kebab ma gravy
7. Smoked Brinjal Patio made of eggplant. It's sweet and sour.
8. Masala ni dal is quite different from the regular dal. It was delicious.
9. Raagi Roti
10. Chicken pulao on the non-veg thali and vegetable pulao for the vegetarians.
For desserts they have classic Bombay Falooda flavoured with strawberry and Coconut macaroon crumble with dar ni puri ice cream.
Don’t miss out on this chance to enjoy a delicious Navroze Bhonu!
It starts from August 12th to 24th August.
