What Makes It Awesome

Got plans to unwind in Pondicherry? We’ve the perfect place for you to stay at. Micasa Hostel is India’s first exclusive premium backpackers hostel and has a Spain-inspired theme due to the owner’s backpacking travel across Spain. The overall space is welcoming and basic with brick decor and grey walls studded with images and travel memoirs. We love the fact that it’s smack in the centre of town and close to the famous beaches of Pondicherry.

The property has three floors, 60 beds, four common areas, a home theatre, a laundry room, and two kitchens, with all basic necessities like free wifi, air conditioning. Their dorms are mixed as well as gender separated with 4-12 beds (bunk beds included), and each of these are named after a city in Spain the owner has visited. Pretty cool, right? Their gender-separate washrooms are clean and spacious, so are their common areas and dorms. There’s no better way of meeting new people than relaxing in their common areas where you can snuggle up with a book or play a game of carrom with strangers.

When you’re hungry, they have a cafe on the terrace for small bites, but if you want to whip up a quick meal, they have a community kitchen as well. Micasa also has laundry services and family entertainment services. Just enquire with their front desk.

Price: Approximately INR 700 for a single bed in a shared dorm. You can plan a stays as long as 30 days for INR 15,000.

Pro-Tip

They accept only passports as means of photo identification (rule applies for Indians as well) as they’re a travellers’ hostel.
