If you’d rather spend New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day in the valleys of Coorg, with nothing but fine music and the stars above for company, book your tickets and pack your bags for Chasing Storm, New Year’s Eve { The Storm Festival's New Year's Eve edition}. Needless to say, you won’t regret it, what with top-notch electronic, folk- fusion and indie acts all part of the line-up. While Indian Ocean bring their legendary folk fusion music, Tamil folk-fusion act, Anthony Daasan will throw in some quirky beats.

Also taking centrestage will be Sylvester’s Trio. With them, you can expect funky grooves and spot-on three-part vocal harmonies. Solder will do what they do best, and serenade you with some ‘Feel Good Rock’. All eyes {or ears?} will be on Siddharth Mahadevan, son of festival ambassador Shankar Mahadevan. The powerhouse singer will bring you a hint of Bollywood thanks to hit tracks such as The Malang Malang and Zinda. Over at the DJ stage, Swing, Sam and Nasha, among others, will take to the console.

Under the stars

Once the merry making on stage is done, take the party to the tented camps where music will still reign supreme. Past experiences have shown that musicians off all kinds will find their guitars, ukuleles and drums/buckets and jamming sessions will carry on until the sun comes up. Plus, meaty barbecues to keep you going.
