A roomy homestay in Coonoor, Storyteller is centrally located, has comfy rooms with great views and books hiding in every corner.

What Makes It Awesome

With cosy chilly weather, lots of lush green and much to see and do, Coonoor is the ideal getaway spot. And when in Coonoor, make sure you check into Storyteller, a plush homestay on a hill that’s not too far away from all the action. Wake up to cool breezes and spectacular views of Coonoor’s landscape as you’re warm and toasty in the big beds of their spacious rooms. What’s more, there are books peeking out of every corner for you to pick up and read through. With a tariff at INR 3,500 for two people, it sounds like a good deal to us.

We love that the rooms are done up mostly in wood and white, for that classic hill station feel. You can even find a bookshelf with a few books in some of the rooms. The bathrooms are kept spic and span with free toiletries for you. Since each room is done up according to a theme — from PG Wodehouse to Danielle Steele, expect a few quirks. We particularly love the Enid Blyton room. Mostly because it has a lovely loft (just like in Enid Blyton books) to escape to and curl with a book or bae. Also, every room has a quote by the author it is themed on and a book by them on the shelf.

Pro-Tip

Storyteller is also a centrally located property and is just a short walk away from the famous Sim’s Park, which is a park-cum-botanical garden. There’s a restaurant on the premises for you to gorge on plenty of great food and delicacies that the area is known for.
