The March Edition of Sunday Soul Sante is happening this weekend on Sunday, March 4 and with feathery dream-catchers, rusty trinkets, and colourful accessories, the edition is all about embracing boho vibes. With 250+ pop up stalls that are going to stock up on everything from trinkets to accessories, and apparel to stationery and decor, it’s going to be a fun Sunday. Always the one to head to the food stalls first, LBB’s giving you insight into what to expect at the 20 food stalls that will be serving everything from baos to Khao Suey, fries to biryani, and popsicles to shakes.

Tall Blonde French

One of our favourite fries place in town, Tall Blonde French in Koramangala dishes out a whopping 32 kinds of fries to patrons. We are only hoping that come this Sunday they bring all or at least half their collection of fries. Served in a paper cone, these fries come with all kinds of toppings — peri-peri mayo, jalapenos, chicken bits and shreds, and fish. Grab one of our favourites such as Bae Fries {fries topped with chilly cheese mayo and jalapenos} or Blonde Fries {cheesy fries with mayo overload} before you start your shopping spree. Fries will keep you energised!

Kylie's

Kylie’s bao’s have us saying ‘bao chicka bao wow’ every time we order their Teriyaki Chicken, Char Sui Pork and Goan Chorizo baos. So we are expecting them to serve these along with their hearty Asian bowls. Oh yes, since opening their new outlet in Indiranagar, Kylie’s been serving bowls of happiness. Our favourite is the Kaffir Lime & Bird’s Eye Chilli Pork Bowl, which comes with generous chunks of succulent meat with loads of fat {if you love that stuff} with a sticky sauce on a bed of wok-fried maple bacon egg rice. Yummers and lunch scenes sorted at Soul Sante.

Chung Wah

When it comes to greasy, saucy Chinese food, it’s Chung Wah that comes to everyone’s mind whether they like it or not. But then again, when they serve their Indianised South East Asian food, you know you can’t say no. We are just hoping that all our favourites {yours too, we bet} like the greasy Chilli Chicken, deep fried Gobi Manchurian, Dragon Rolls, Crispy Devil Lamb and that oh-so-oily Fried Rice are all on the menu this Sunday. Apart from this, we are only hoping that they aren’t stingy with their sauces just like they are when you order from their outlets across town.

Just Khao Suey

Just as the name suggests, this stall will be serving you just slurpy Khao Sueys. We don’t know about you, but hey, we don’t mind spending time happily slurping away from our bowl when we are taking a break from all that shopping. And of course, just like any Khao Sueys you get in town, these guys also let you customise your bowl of goodness just the way you like. Ours will always need that extra lime and slivers of bird’s eye chilli. What about yours?

Hungry Hogs

Not in a mood for heavy-duty meals? Hungry Hogs’ hot dogs are the ideal alternative then. And given that it’s a hot dog, just grab one and munch on it while you are having fun, listening to live music from bands such as Bangalore-based alternative rock band Black Letters, and the Chennai-based The F16’s. Their hot dogs include the Plain Jane which is your regular hot dog with mustard-ketchup-BBQ sauce topping and the adventurous Jackie Chan that comes with Chop Suey Sauce and fried noodles topping.

Pop Hop Ice Cream

Given that summer has already set in, it’s the perfect time to have a popsicle. Not that you can’t have a popsicle in winter, but hey, when you are out their in the open grounds of ITPB, Cricket Grounds in Whitefield from 10 am, chances are that sinister Sunday sun is going to bear down on you hard and fast. And to cool yourself, there’s nothing like a blueberry cheesecake popsicle coated with Belgium Chocolate. Or a white chocolate popsicle topped with nuts and sprinkles. In any case, you are going to find your flavour and you are going to keep coming back for more. After all, there’s no such thing as just one popsicle.

Wafflewale

With all the spices, sauces, and fried goodness, chances are you will be craving something sugary. Nothing better like a Belgium waffle drizzled with syrups like maple, strawberry, and blueberry, and topped off with toppings such as whipped cream, fresh fruits Oreos, and sprinkles. Wafflewalle also dishes out Waffle Sandwiches at their outlet in Bannerghatta, so we are hoping these sugar rush yummers are available on Sunday as well. If that’s available, then we say order one to have right away and dig into what’s a sandwich filled with peanut butter, Nutella, and maple syrup and topped off with fresh whipped cream and drizzled with a copious amount of Nutella sauce.
