Web Summit, called the ‘best technology conference on the planet, makes its first foray into India, through SURGE, Starting today (Tuesday, February 23 to Wednesday, February 24)in Bangalore.

Part of Web Summit’s line-up of conferences, this is the first time the event takes place in India. With start-up founders, established business heads, CEOs, artists and journalists all part of the line-up, if you’re looking for inspiration, then this is where you should be. What we love most about this edition is that to celebrate women entrepreneurship, SURGE is inviting women entrepreneurs to register to avail free tickets.

Since it is in the start-up capital of the country, plenty of home crew is part of the line-up including Vikram Ahuja of Byond Travels, Tarun Mehta of Ather Energy (they design and sell electric scooters), and Richa Kar who is the CEO of Zivame.com. Plus, Nicolas Brusson, Co-Founder of BlaBlaCar, Dave McClure, founder of 500 Startups, Sachin Bansal (who needs no introduction but is the co-founder of Flipkart) and Rohit Bansal, co-founder of Snapdeal. Actor and co-founder of Ketto, Kunal Kapoor too will be in the house.
