What Makes It Awesome

Central Bangalore's go-to party spot Suzy Q recently turned two and to celebrate the same, they've introduced a line of fresh new dishes, cocktails, and desserts. We dropped by for a preview a few weeks back to check out the same, and needless to say, we left feeling happy and with the agenda of coming back soon. The Chicken Liver Pate served on a crunchy toast was first on the table and we quite liked the savouriness of the dish. The Avocado Salad was next on the table and we can see the appeal of this on a sunny afternoon or when you're looking to just eat a bit light. The Yakitori Skewers are perfect bar nibbles and feature prawn, chicken, and fish with marinated in yuzu, miso, and soy sauce. We'd definitely order multiple rounds of this.

The Apricot Seekh Chicken from the tandoor section was interesting with its slightly sweet and smokey flavour. We quite liked the creamy pesto of the Walnut Oregano & Pecorino Pesto Fusilli while around the table everyone seemed to rave about the Gambas Tortellini, which features prawns and chives stuffed tortellini. In the mains section, the Shrimp Cochin Curry gets our thumbs up!

Over at the drinks section, there's a new range of cocktails that works great for a Tuesday afternoon boozy lunch with friends and Saturday night shenanigans. We tried the Love Booth, a gin-based sweet cocktail with ginger, lime, and maraschino cherries—tart, potent and sweet. We took a sip of the Cheeni Kum, a spicy white rum drink that hit the spot but also set our tongues on fire. Gangs Of Wasseypur is another drink that gets our thumbs up.

We ended our meal with Rice Cheesecake, which was sinful and decadent. You'll definitely go back for seconds.
