Clear Your Calendars: There's A Crazy Hot Air Balloon Festival Just 8 Hours Away & You Have To Go

This one-of-a-kind event is a must-see for all you adventure junkies. The six-day event is a congregation of hot air balloon enthusiasts from across the globe. Experienced hot air balloon pilots will come and show off their craft while beginners like you and me can come and ride along with them. The rides will be slow and relaxed as the balloon can only fly at the speed of the wind and additionally, there are stringent safety precautions in place and in case of inclement weather, rides will be postponed. Can you imagine a horizon full of gorgeous balloons and what it might do to our Instagram feed? Seeing so many balloons in a myriad of shapes and forms in the sky might make it feel like you’re in a Disney movie.

There’s also non hot air balloon events to keep you occupied during your downtime. A music and cultural festival for those after dark hours, a kids-only colouring and play event, and a food festival to keep you sated. Pollachi is approximately seven hours from Bangalore, however, the easier option is to take a train or flight from Chennai to Coimbatore and then a bus or drive down to Pollachi.
