What Is It?

The TCS World 10K is Bangalore’s answer to the Mumbai Marathon and the Delhi Half Marathon, and the run has seen participation from some of the world’s best athletes. Gearing up for its 11th edition, the World 10K will see all of Bangalore’s runners and running enthusiasts come together and take on the city’s roads. Registrations are currently open, so hurry up and book your place.

Who Is It For?

Not just for seasoned athletes, but for us regular couch potatoes too, this run is for everyone. If you’re over the age of 15, you’re eligible to participate. The race has a few categories, so there’s something for everyone’s pace from a senior citizen’s run to the Open 10K run which is open to all.

Why Should I Go For It?

You don’t want to miss out on this spectacular sporting event that will see most Bangaloreans, young and old, take part, now do you? If you’re worried about whether you’ve got the chops to finish the run or whether you’re just going to end up making a fool of yourself, put all that to rest. The event sees participation from all kinds of folk, from elite runners to people whose idea of a run to a quick trot to our fridge {read us}, so you’ll feel right at home here. Although it’s a great workout and a fantastic way to get out of home and get fit, the main goal is to have fun.

The race has many categories. The Open 10K is for those regular runners who can take on a 10-kilometre track, while the Majja Run is a fun run that’s only six kilometres long. And guess what? All finishers will take home a medal {and a runner’s high of course}.

Registrations are now open. You can sign up here.
