Number one on our list of things to give thanks for at Thanksgiving this year, is the fact that we're almost done with the dreadful 2020. Everything has been far from hunky dory but our forever silver lining has remained a good meal. Speaking of good meals, you know what this list is about! gratitude and good food, pies and turkey and awesome city restaurants that are bringing all this and more to us! Note: Most restaurants are still deciding on whether to host a Thanksgiving dinner this year, so we shall be updating this listicle as and when we hear of a new menu, best to bookmark now and revisit. In the meantime, you can plan on turkey eating and pie munching at these places.

    The Only Place

    The Only Place

    Ashok Nagar, Bangalore

It's tradition to visit The Only Place on Thanksgiving, after all the peeps here were one of the first to bring American cuisine and the concept of Thanksgiving to namma ooru. This year too, there's Roast Turkey, Stuffing, Roast Gravy, Creamed Potatoes, Boiled Veggies, Candied Yam, Sweet Corn and Cranberry Sauce in order. The only change is that it won't be a buffet style set up anymore. You will have to order from the ala carte Thanksgiving Menu, but hey we don't mind. As long as we get to socially (although distanced) enjoy a meal with our family and friends. Oh, and there's homemade Pumpkin and Apple Pie as always, too!

    Portland Steakhouse

Doesn't the name of this iconic steakhouse guarantee a fine Thanksgiving dinner? We can go so far as to say the Americans would approve of the taste too! This year the folks at Portland Steakhouse will be hosting a set Thanksgiving meal from Thursday up until the weekend, which is Sunday. Woohoo! On the menu is the whole shebang, from Roast Turkey, Sweet Potato, Herb Walnut Stuffing to Orange Cranberry Sauce, Pan Gravy and Pumpkin Pie to finish with. To enjoy the whole meal, you will have to dine-in. Only the Roast Turkey is available as takeaway, for which you will have to place an order 48 hours in advance.

    Toscano

    Toscano

    Jayanagar, Bangalore

If it's Toscano, you know that your Thanksgiving meal is going to be anything but traditional. They're bound to add that Italian touch which is what they have curated for their special Thanksgiving dinner across all outlets in the city. This time round, they have Thanksgiving Harvest Farro Salad, Traditional Lamb Arancini, Old Fashioned Potato Leek Soup, Handmade Sweet Potato Ravioli, A Thanksgiving Pizza and to keep the purists happy, Traditional Roasted Butterball Turkey. Their dessert menu is equally exciting, with a Three Spice Pumpkin Ricotta Cheesecake, Season's Muscat Grape Wine Crème Brulee and a Apricot & Pecan Nut Caramello Chocolate Tart, yum! Do give a 24 hours advance notice though, if you want to takeaway. For dine in, book as soon as possible.

    Bengaluru Brasserie, Hyatt Centric

A set menu is in the works for Thanksgiving Dinner at The Bengaluru Brasserie, Hyatt Centric. We are told there is a traditional and Chef's Special Butterball Turkey, Squash Soup and Rhubarb Tart Orange Crème Anglaise. They will be adding a few more dishes based on availability and the number of guests.

    Feast, Sheraton Grand, Brigade Gateway

No buffet at Feast this year but it will still be a Thanksgiving feast nonetheless! Their set ala carte menu will feature season classics like Roast Turkey, Stuffed Ham, Bread Stuffing and Pumpkin Pie. You will have to book a Thanksgiving dinner at least 3 days in advance since all dishes will be made to order based on the pax.

Lush, Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Road Hotel

It's a Thanksgiving jubilee, buffet style at Lush and the dishes are fit for proper indulgence. There's Sage Butter Turkey Roast, Barolo and Cranberry reduce, Yukenbutter Yorkshire pudding, Mashed potatoes, Bean casserole, and of course Pecan Caramel Pie, Apple Rhubarb Pie, Pumpkin Spiced cheesecake and even Pumpkin Spiced Vanilla roll for that proper Thanksgiving feel.
