Kat, Sutton, Jane, Jacqueline or Adena - Get The Bold Type Look
Jacqueline Carlyle
Boss Lady in every sense of the word, Jacqueline exudes confidence, style and glamour, even when she is casually walking in high-heels on her office treadmill. Most of the time, her outfits are styled with jackets, so if you’re going for her power dressing look, then this list is for you. This diagonal embroidery short jacket will definitely be on Jackie’s list and should be on yours too. Oh, and you need to get a few things from The August Co. because they really get office dressing right. From the Ikat jackets to pant-suits, Jackie totally approves! She is also a jewellery person - especially wrist accessories, so check out these minimalist brands for minimal accessories and if you’re looking to make a statement with neckpieces and earrings, this list is your version of the Fashion Closet! No way you can’t have boots if you’re trying to boss the look and sky-high heels. They have to be in your closet.
Kat Edison
Ambitious, competent, yet flawed (we all have imperfect journeys, even with perfect style!) - Kat Edison is both bold and beautiful. Her defining quote? “I'm a feminist, okay? I'm political.” Her style highlights (sylights?) chic, structured, layered power suits and involve crop tops! So pair this patterned jacket with this high waisted tie up pants (you can either wear a fitted crop top or tank top underneath), and just like Kat, you can be the boss while slaying! If you’re looking for full suits though, check out Qua for all their feminine yet powerful suits for women. Kat also is a big fan of flouncy and statement shirts that are at least slightly 80’s inspired. For something plain, this teal one has a high neck, and can be paired well with trousers or a skirt. For something with a bolder print, this one is perfect. She’s big on stripes too, and this dress is Kat approved we feel. Okay okay, we can’t include Kat without acknowledging her hair. Curly girls, here’s a list of the best products for your ringlets.
Jane Sloan
Intelligent and ambitious, Jane is a writer through and through. And did we mention relatable AF? Jane’s not perfect, but she’s brave, loyal and we’d love to have a BFF like her! When it comes to personal style, Jane’s fashion is feminine with a penchant for black clothing, interesting silhouettes and fun prints. We’ve seen her wear a wide range of options from smart rompers that flatter her petite frame to boss-lady skirts that are as professional as it comes and even a bit of leather now and then. We can totally see Jane wear this sleek burgundy pencil skirt or this cold-shoulder ruffle sleeve black dress. Jane wears plenty of black, so we think she’d probably slay this choker neck detail top too but hey, we know she can also pull off this chic animal print ruffle top too! Tiny Jane also sports a pair of killer heels most of the time and her wardrobe wouldn’t be complete without a chic pair like these stilettos. And if Jane’s signature sleek hairstyle is what you’re after, you’ll want to check out this amazing guide.
Sutton Brady
In her lifetime of transitioning from assistant to an assistant stylist to aspiring designer, and finally, junior stylist (phew!) -- Sutton's sense of dressing remained on point and if we may add, came closest to being relatable (much like her character and life events on the show). All this despite being behind the scenes. We see her rock peplum jean jackets, flared overalls, basic stripe sleeve sweaters and more. Oh, and ruffles, tie-dye, lace, florals and exaggerated sleeves and necklines, feature heavily in her wardrobe. To build your Sutton-like closet, make sure to include this fringe detail bell sleeve denim jacket from Miss Chase and this ruffle detail collared shirt from Besiva. For all things floral, check out this list of floral printed apparel. Sutton is also a jean and tee type of girl, given her small-town background but she definitely keeps up with the trends in this department too, so check out these on-trend loose fit jeans and white tees to slay that street style. When it came to accessorising, Sutton's choice of bling were her beloved bags and so you may want to grace your bag closet with these 12 types of handbags.
Adena El-Amin
Although Adena made it to screen only on occasion, she did make the strongest of impressions with her in-your-face style choices (and life choices) throughout the show. Her OOTDs captured the vibe of a young but accomplished photographer, who stayed true to her Muslim roots. Layering is a big part of Arena's outdoor looks, and of course, the signature headscarves she flaunted in ways we didn't know one could. We're definitely suggesting you check out all the gorgeous scarves available on The LBB Shop but this Mughal garden square silk headscarf in particular, so Adena's style! We also see her sporting camisoles and tanks under statement jackets. For pants, it was either faux leather skinny jeans or comfy culottes and stunning boots to go with!
