A buffet that covers pretty much the whole a la carte menu.

Lowdown On The Ambience

A dramatic shift from the current in-trend industrial look at restaurants, this one winds the clocks back to a heritage bungalow. Compartmentalising and maximising use of space, there’s sofas, bar stools, booths and regular tables scattered across the two floors. That also conveniently segregates {phew!} the crowd. Clowns to the left, jokers to the right! Well, not literally, but there are rooms for everyone – from the snooker-playing sports fans to the jazz music lovers near the bar. We are completely digging the chequered flooring too!

What’s On The Menu?

Covering Indian, European, Oriental and American, the menu is competent but not vast. So picky folk can rejoice. We’d fight you for the prawn dim sum, and Green Peas Aranchini {Italian dumplings done just right, especially when had with the divine plum tomato and basil dip}. Although they are on the menu, we’d suggest you skip soups {if you must, have the Himalayan Thupka} and salads. Instead, order a round of wood-fired pizza. The simple Margherita is our favourite, but that’s only until the Pepperoni one arrived! For mains, meat eaters, look no further than the Braised Lamb Shanks. Lightly marinated in rosemary, and falling off the bone beautifully, it comes with olive mashed potato, confit tomato and roast veggies. The spicy Chettinad Chicken comes a close second and can be mopped up with Malabar roti. The Thai Red, Green and Yellow Curry, didn’t quite cut it for us.

On The Table

But, why bother with choosing when they have a rotational buffet you might ask. And we don’t disagree. From pizza and kebabs to grilled fish, noodles and of course curries across the board, they have it all. That said, sometimes, ordering what you specifically want, wins over a large spread, doesn’t it? Finish off with Paan Gulab Jamoon – not because we fancy it so much, but for the novelty really!

So We’re Thinking…

When it’s crowded, we’d suggest you stick to the buffet as the service and quality for a la carte tends to drop marginally.
