Private Cinema, Gaming Rooms And Infinity Pools: This Hotel In Whitefield Is Every Millennials Dream Come True

Shortcut

Who can say no to spa sessions, a private mini-cinema and a playhouse with everything from PS4 consoles to pool tables. We can’t so we went over for a staycation to The Den.

Into The Den

We’ll get the drive to Whitefield out of the way first. That area is a mess with railworks going on, but it makes the hotel even more of an oasis, after navigating traffic and dusty roads. A neat hotel that is higher than most others in the area, we love that The Den is surrounded by gardens and water bodies.

Rooms come in five options — The Den, The Den Corner, the club rooms, suites and studio. Since it’s a relatively new hotel, the suites are not yet functional. We checked into The Den Corner, which comes with a fluffy double bed, a 42” television, capsule coffee machines (with Coorg coffee no less), power showers and a dock for your phone. The large bathroom with a tub and separate shower and WC area, were other luxuries. Don’t want to soak in the bath? Hit up the infinity pool.

Private Party

Overlooking the gardens, the pool is small but with lovely firangi paani trees on the deck, canopies to cosy up in with bae (even if bae is a book!) and a spectacular view of the sunset, this is our favourite spot…thus far! Right beside the pool deck, you can check into the spa for a soothing full body massage, or even a quick head and neck one just to ease the knots. If you’re low on time and want to mix functionality and relaxation, get a mani-pedi and hair wash as the salon too. Gym bunnies, make the most of your stay with sessions with a personal instructor too. However, naturally, we skipped this workout in favour of a movie session at the private cinema – The Cave! Yup, snacks, drinks and any film of your choice will be played. If there are many guests, majority wins!

Play Time

We were completely won over by the Play House, the perfect spot to unwind. What with PS4 and XBox room to completely immerse in games. Or play pool and then settle at one of the digital top tables that let you play old-school games like Pacman, Galaza and Tetris. When you feel like a zombie, take a break at The Creek, a massive 24-hour coffee shop that has a buffet on all day. The whole dining area is made from glass, so you get the illusion of being outside. When it’s pouring, it’s the best! Serving world cuisine as well as favourite like spaghetti, pizzas, roast chicken, biryani with a whole section dedicated only to grills of all kinds, you’ll be eating till the sun comes back up! But hey, there’s always the gym to make you feel better!
