Winning For

Being the only cafe in Bangalore where you can rent a bicycle and get your own fixed.

Lowdown On The Ambience

Prepare to be welcomed by spokes and wheels which is what they’ve got put up along the outer walls of the cafe. It’s basically an outdoor cafe with wooden chairs and tables, trellis lighting and nothing but a glass wall separating it from the garage. You can watch your bike being fixed up {if you’ve had a fender-bender} while eating, or you can just pretend to be a cool cafe-racer from 1960s America eating their delicious burgers. Highlight – spoons and forks that look like spanners and other tools.

The Food Cycle

We’d heard a lot about their crispy chicken burger and we were not let down. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I’m a sucker for wings of any kind and their hot grilled wings are truly finger licking good. For dessert, we tried the Kerala banana fry with ice cream and it was like the food manifestation of a hipster dream. Who knew the same fried banana we refused to eat as kids would have been so much yummier with some good ol’ vanilla ice cream?

Torque The Talk

That Garage Cafe not only doubles up as a service centre and rental for bikes but they also regularly have some cool events. They host bicycle rides every weekend, rent out their cycles if you don’t have one, and it’s open for all!

So We’re Thinking…

This one’s a no-brainer. We’re in love with the food, the friendly people and the good vibes of That Garage Cafe and are definitely going there again.
