Wine, Music and Some Stomping at The Great Grover Wine Festival

Ten-second takeaway

The Great Grover Wine Festival promises a whole day of wine, entertainment, food and some stomping around as well. And some more wine.

Wine party

Wine lovers are in for a treat! After its successful launch last year, The Great Grover Wine Festival is back with another edition, organised in association with Grover Zampa Vineyards (which claims to be India's oldest and most awarded wine company). Said to be South India's first wine and performing arts festival, the event brings together an exciting lot of wine, music, arts and more. What more could we ask for, eh?

Sip and stomp

Be it their selection of heritage wines or the celebrity Vijay Amritraj Reserve Collection, La Reserve, Chene Grand Reserve, Art Collection and premium sparkling wines, Soirée Brut and Brut Rosé, there's quite an array for you to sip on. Oh, and make sure you try your hand (or rather, feet) at the age-old tradition of wine-making with a spot of grape stomping in huge vats.

Added attractions

If the art and sculpture isn't your cup of tea, the flea market with stalls of clothes, accessories and food should do the trick. Adding to the festive vibe is the music lineup, which features Lagori (Bangalore-based Indian rock/pop band), Aabha Hanjura - Sufistication (Sufi folk band), Ananth Menon and Trio (city-based blues/rock band) and Karthick Iyer (violinist and vocalist from Chennai). With a stand up performance by comedian, Vamsidhar Bhogaraju, live karaoke by Sabrina and a closing act by DJ Ivan, this festival really is a great getaway. See you there, perhaps?
