What Makes It Awesome

Health and wellness go hand in hand, and at The Leela, if you're looking for indulgence without guilt you must order from their Aujasya menu. Meaning vigour of life in Sanskrit, the new menu features food that's balanced (micro and macronutrients as well as flavour profiles) and leaves you feeling satisfied but not heavy. How? They've worked with the best chefs around the country, locally available ingredients (and recipes) and nutritionist Ankita Jalori.

What can you expect? Plenty of food where the ingredients shine. Whole grains, lean protein, low-fat dairy and fresh fruits and vegetables make the Aujasya menu holistic and hearty - be it succulent, fresh, salmon or the pomelo in the salad dressing. Vegans and vegetarians, their plant-based offerings are filling as they are experimental. Think Earth bowls (personal fav) made of Himalayan Red Rice and Himalayan Tofu brought together by coconut milk, quinoa biryani with traditional flavours intact, and tofu scramble on toast that tastes just as good as eggs. Our favourite part? Dessert. The chocolate-orange mousse is indulgent, and if you’re looking for something refreshing, try the kiwi sorbet. Ragi pudding is also on the menu, but fairly heavy so get that one to share.

Shooters, cocktails, and other beverages also feature, though those change over time. What we love is how informed yet experimental the menu is. The dishes from Aujasya can be ordered at any of the restaurants at the Leela, and they’re happy to customise it per your allergies and other preferences too.

Pro-Tip

They do experiments every now and then with newer offerings, so keep an eye out when you head to any Leela restaurants. They also plan to curate a brunch with these and other similar offerings, so watch this space for updates on that.
