The LoudSpeakers is a community that fosters people who are interested or want to try their hand at public speaking. They hold meet up and sessions and it’s a perfect space to meet new people.

If you are like us, then chances are back in school you’d have hesitated from taking part in all those public speaking competitions. It might be a little late for you to take part in one now and not to mention a little weird, but hey, don’t worry. The LoudSpeakers is a community that’s dedicated to the art of public speaking. We don’t know about you, but that feeling of all those times when we wanted to get up on the stage and recite Mark Anthony’s speech is all coming back to us. It doesn’t matter whether you are a noob at this or have a trophy case full of certificates and medals to prove your public speaking skills, the community fosters one and all.

In fact, the community is about making people comfortable to talk to in a room full of strangers. The added bonus is that apart from just talking, it’s also a space to meet strangers and connect with them on various ideas and collaborations. Go on, improve your communication and socialising skills without paying a penny. Oh yes, it’s a free community and anyone and everyone can join. They conduct meet-ups and participants of these are either asked to deliver their prepared speech or done one extempore. And what better way to get rid of jittery feeling than an extempore speech. Oh, and the best part, you won’t be speaking to a large audience, but a group of 10, at most.

Joining The Community

Currently highly active in Delhi, where they conduct weekly meetups, the Bangalore chapter has seen a couple of meetups happening. But don’t let that deter you because it’s quite a simple process to join their meetups. All you need to do is fill up this form with all the details and they will get back to you. They only contact you via WhatsApp so be sure to be active there {is there anyone who isn’t?}. Alternatively, you can send them a message on their Facebook page here and inquire about the timings and dates.
