A five-day long workshop, The Master Class, organised by the Cane Boutique, will introduce you to a whole bunch of woodworking skills and techniques during the course of a week. What Is It?
Who Is It For?
Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome to attend. If you’re looking for a change in career or just a new hobby, then this is the workshop for you. No background in woodwork and furniture design? No problem! The course is paced in a way that’s easy for beginners and amateurs to catch up to.
Why Should I Go For It?
The workshop is being organised and coordinated by Tejesh Todi and Angus Bennett, both students of the Chippendale International School of Furniture in Scotland. You will get to interact with experts in the field of woodwork and furniture design during the course which will cover all of the basics of the craft. And here’s the best part. Every class will have a bench time of three hours wherein the students will work on individual pieces that they get to take home.
A few things to remember, however. Keep a pair of hard-bound shoes handy and forget about all your long-sleeved and loose clothes for a week, as the workshop requires you to be dressed appropriately for maximum productivity and safety. And register soon as the class will enrol a maximum of 12 students only.
