An array of treatments, five-star service, and an enchanting ambience make Palms Spa a winning retreat. The Deep Tissue and Balinese massage will lift your spirit! Honest.

First Impressions

With a charming Edwardian courtyard, a renovated bungalow, and castle-style wooden gates, The Palms Spa makes you feel like you’re arriving at a tropical island home in South Asia. While not intimidatingly large, the understated, Eastern-inspired décor, soft lighting, and forest ambient music set the mood. And we’re certainly head here this summer for their delightful offer on {weekdays only} which gets you a free manicure and/or pedicure. Yup! You read right. If you get a massage or facial for 60 minutes, they’ll throw in a 45-minute Palms Cuccio Naturale pedicure, for no charge at all. And if you opt for the 90-minute massage or facial, then you get both a pedicure and manicure {90 minutes}, for free. So much win, right there!

Pamper Station

Friendly, soft-spoken staff will guide you through the menu of massages, body polishes and facials, and once you pick your therapy, you’ll be whisked off to one of the spa’s four private rooms. They have an impressive selection of massages including Balinese and Thai {their specials}. Plus, shorter and more specific ones like Deep Tissue Sports Massage. We picked the Balinese one, and the therapist, combined with a flickering candle, rippling water, and fluffy white sheets transported us to a world of calm and relaxation. The hour-long massage {vigorous yet not aggressive} is a real treat. Delicate strokes {which the masseuse automatically alters based on your reactions; no disturbing questions mid relaxation here} and mild essential oils work together to deal with any stress and strains. It involves deep-tissue massage, acupressure, reflexology, gentle stretching, and aromatherapy, so once you’re done, you should be feeling truly relaxed. We certainly did. In fact, despite being a bit dozy, a quick steam and shower later, we felt rejuvenated as well.

More Than A Massage

If you’re short on time, opt for the neck and back massages or foot reflexology. This writer has skipped across here for the back, shoulder and neck massage, and that was possibly the best spent 30 minutes, of her life. The polishes {milk, honey and white chocolate, anyone?} combine a quick scrub and a light massage too, so relaxation meets indulgence. We’re tripping on the fresh Mango And Mandarin polish, that also has shea butter and olive oil to moisturise the skin. Or get away from the chaos of the city, and check-in for an indulgent Palms Spa Experience — a full 160 minutes of a scrub, raspberry and rhubarb facial, followed by a Balinese massage. Once you try out this place, you’ll just want to spa, steam, relax and repeat. Also, check out the lovely boutique of Zara Umrigar in the same space. Thank us later!
