Seasoned designer, Krithika who spent many years interning at fashion houses at London, Milan and Paris treats her creations as art! Her expertise lies in stunning outerwear -- so think, jackets and blazers, but you will also find pretty much anything from dresses to coords, basic tops, even Indian wear. All this at prices that start at a very affordable INR 4,000. Believe us, most luxury labels start only at the big bucks $$$!
Krithika works with fabrics sourced from all over the world, including the corners of India; transforming them into unique designs by working with a different local artisan each time, and employing a different technique. This is a great way to bring diversity into her label, she shares. It's hard for us to pick favourites but we absolutely love the Handloom Long Coat embroidered with silk threads and paired with faux leather trousers. Issa a whole lewk! A close second is a White Silk Dress with silk embroidery, an asymmetrical cut and hand-painted portrait of sky, water & land.
Oh did we mention these pieces are limited edition? Creating just about two replicas, nothing on The Trunk's line is mass produced. If you spot something you like, order immediately before they run of the exact same fabric!
