Tom Yum Thai in Indiranagar is a hidden gem, serving authentic warm Thai food with a cafe-esque ambience.

What Is It?

Finally, there’s a place serving Thai food the way it’s served in Thailand. Tom Yum Thai is a Thai restaurant on the rooftop of a building whose lower floors are a diagnostic clinic.

Who Is It For?

Anyone and everyone who loves Thai food must eat here at least once — the food tastes good, the portion sizes are great. All that’s needed now is some good company.

What Is The Ambience Like?

Located on the rooftop, the restaurant provides an apt location for a date, a family dinner or a quiet evening with friends. The cafe-esque ambience is complemented by the posters hung on the walls, paintings of tuk-tuks and quiet, simple decor. The view from the top serves as a perfect backdrop to a casual evening or a hearty dinner. The pleasant Bangalore weather and the warm Thai food are a winner combo.

Must Eat

Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai, Kuay Tuay Gai {flat noodles in a meatball broth} and Radhna Gai {flat noodles in a thick sauce}.

What Was The Experience Like?

With a menu comprising of authentic Thai food and the only alcohol sold here being wine, you aren’t really spoilt for choice. Dishes are heavy in spice, sweet and salt but are still balanced and not one ingredient overpowers the rest. And trust me, they’re doing it right. Service was quick, but the staff is slightly intrusive. That said, they mean well.

Tearing straight into the turbulent skies of the twenties, I am both ambitious and carefree, a serious lost-and-found case! I take fiction quite seriously and love anything caffeinated to go with it.
