There’s been yet another addition to the growing list of food trucks in the city. Say hi to Too Much Indian, a food truck that’s doing wholesome desi khana at great prices.

Meals On Wheels

We love us a good food truck. So when we heard that there’s one in the city that we haven’t tried yet, we wasted no time and hit up Too Much Indian. Parked in Jayanagar {right next to the restaurant Maiyas}, this cute little food station is serving up all our Indian faves, from rajma chawal to methi parantha. A cutie patootie food truck, Too Much Indian is easy to spot with its light brown exterior and its quirky black and yellow signage. With plenty of windows, don’t miss out on all the action and watch the cooks whip up your food right before.

We decided to dig into to some of their offerings and started things off with their Aloo Parantha. A generous serving with a side of dahi and pickle, this one was close to home. They’ll even add a dollop of butter if you like and we, of course, didn’t refuse. Warm, filling and a little spicy, there’s a lot of familiar flavours in this one. We also tucked into some Paneer Butter Masala and Bhindi Fry, both of which were just like grandma makes. But if we had to pick a favourite, it would be the bhindi fry for its crunchy texture and salty flavour. Served with chappatis, rice and dal, the entire meal will only set you back by INR 100.

Do It Desi

Other menu offerings include sandwiches and burgers, all with a desi twist. From aloo sandwiches to cheese mint sandwiches, have your fill for just INR 50 a pop. We also spotted Cheese Maggi on the menu which the owner said is loaded with cheese, but we were too full to gorge on that as well. But if you love cheese, you should probably give it a go.

We ended our food journey with a sitaphal shake, that you have to take on with a soon because of its thick consistency. With ice cream and chewy bits of custard apple, this one is a winner with us. They have other fruity shakes and crowd-favourites like chocolate and Oreo shakes too, all for INR 100.
