We'll bring the virtual popcorns!

Logan

Logan is arguably one of the best Wolverine/X-Men/superhero movies ever and the fact that it's Hugh Jackman's final portrayal of the mutant known as Wolverine only makes it harder for you to not miss watching this whether for the first time or the millionth. A brilliant screenplay paired with plenty of action (that finale action sequence will blow your mind if you haven't watched the movie!), this movie is something you need to stream right away.

Once Upon Time In Hollywood

Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt teaming up with Quentin Tarantino have always been a great thing. And this movie brings together the usual Tarantino crazy twists, along with some good old Hollywood drama. If anyone's been binge-watching Mindhunters on Netflix, you are in a treat as this movie brings one major character into the storyline. Also, Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate is something to enjoy!

Marriage Story

If you are like John Oliver who's madly crushing Adam Driver, then this Scarlett Johansson-Adam Driver movie is a must-watch. It's also a breath of fresh air to see two actors do roles that are more than a superhero or a Sith Lord. The story is about two adults who are figuring out that they are no longer compatible and everything that comes with ending a marriage. It's a real tear-jerker, so grab some tissues and while you are at it, make sure you are all warm and cosy in bed as the movie has some really good moments.

Bohemian Rapsody

Rami Malek won an Oscar for portraying rock legend Freddie Mercury in this biographical movie about the band Queen. What we love about the movie is that we get a BTS of the famous Queen songs including the titular song. 22 songs are featured in the movie and you can sing along to them and of course, join the chorus when Freddie sings Radio Ga Ga.

Parasite

Unless you have been living under a rock, there's no way you can miss out on this movie that won four Academy Awards. You can watch the movie without the subtitles (countless hours of watching K-Drama has taught us zero Korean, but still, you tend to pick up words) being a distraction or switch to the Hindi dub (it's a bit weird though). Also, while you are watching the movie, you'll see how you can partly relate to Geun-sae and his ultimate social distancing strategy right now.

Roma

Another Oscar win-heavy movie, Roma is a beautiful black and white movie set in the 1970s about a domestic worker's life in Mexico. It's a semi-autobiographical on writer-director Alfonso Cuaron's life and paired with his brilliant cinematography make it a thrilling and engrossing movie that you'll be glued into from the opening credit to the end credit. Did you know that it also holds a solid 96 per cent rating Roma holds on Rotten Tomatoes? Also, the movie is in Spanish, comprendé?

Klaus

Christmas is still a long way off but this beautifully animated movie is an origin story of Santa Claus that works in any season. The brilliant animation is paired with an equally brilliant voice cast that features Jason Schwartzman, J.K. Simmons, and Rashida Jones. You can't help falling in love with Jesper Johansson, the postman, and the jovial Klaus who's voiced by none other than J.K. Simmons.

Black Panther

You got to admit that Black Panther is one of the best movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and the numbers of times we've said "Wakanda Forever" makes watching T'Challa embrace himself fully as the Black Panther a treat. Oh and the brilliantly choreographed fight sequences are different from the usual Marvel movies. You can watch this movie as a standalone or go on an epic marathon and watch all the movies in the MCU.

Spiderman: Into The Spider-Verse

The number of times we've watched this movie is beyond measure now, but watching Miles Morales put on his Spidey suit for the first time gives you the chills. The animated movie's comics-inspired animation styles are an absolute visual treat. If you are a comic-book geek, then you will love how many Easter eggs are stuffed into the movie and all that meta-references to the other Spider-Man movies and comics are, well, so meta! Also, Spider-Gwen makes an appearance!

A Quiet Place

John Krasinski threw us off our edge with this sci-fi horror film that will have you feeling anxious throughout the movie as the characters navigate their way silently through a post-apocalyptic world that's filled with blind monsters whose sole mission is to kill humans. The movie stars John Krasinski and his real-life wife Emily Blunt. It's the perfect thriller for Saturday night and to watch with your friends on Netflix Party.

Toy Story 4

If the above movie gave you the chills, this one will give you the feels. It'll take you right back to the first Toy Story. And you know exactly what we are talking about when we say watching the characters you grew up with is nothing short of feeling warm and fuzzy. The movie has its brilliant moments but none so than watching Duke voiced by Keanu Reeves trying to perform daredevil stunts. Watch it for nostalgia and some good songs that you can sing along to.

Uncut Gems

Apparently, a lot of folks did not even know about this movie for a while. And if you haven't watch the movie starring Adam Sandler yet, do yourself a favour, and go watch it now. It's a face-paced movie that requires you to keep pace with Sandler's character Howard, as he hustles hard and fast to keep having a normal personal life with his wife, mistress, and at work.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

You might be wondering why we picked this particular movie in the Star Wars when the entirety is available to stream. It's because of three things: Luke Skywalker casually brushing aside some dust on his shoulder, the visuals highlighted by that insane Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo move, and finally Kylo Ren going full whack. Of the new trilogy, we think this is the best of the lot.

Mission: Impossible Fallout

We don't think we'll ever get tired of Ethan Hunt and his motley crew. Be it casually racing his bike through the streets of Paris or brooding over plans, Tom Cruise does keep the Mission: Impossible truly well and alive. With every movie in the franchise, watch our for the insane action sequences, some of which will leave you gaping and while others will keep you guessing how a 57-year old can still look so ripped.
