Believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, Anjaneya Hill in Hampi is a religious site. One has to climb 575 steps in order to reach the temple and a huge adjoining courtyard from where you can see river 'Tungbhadra' in its full glory. You can easily spot the architectural marvel - Vitthala Temple complex too. This hilltop is also considered the best place to be to experience a gorgeous sunrise and sunset in Hampi. The climb is quite tough so be prepared for some good calorie burn. 😜
No matter what time of day you visit, the view is always gorgeous. It's a 260-degree view mostly and is quite stunning.
Tips:
Wear comfy shoes, a hat {if it's a sunny day}, and modest clothing as the temple has certain instructions about clothing particularly.
