Trudge through jungles, conquer mountains and explore waterfalls with this group, founded in 2013. From night treks to Horagina Betta (a hillock near Nandi Hills) to one-day treks to Antara Gange (famous for the temple situated on the mountain as well as the many caves around the place), they conduct exciting trips every weekend. So, no more lazy Sundays!

Indiahikes for trekking activities

Source: Indiahikes

Started over six years ago, Indiahikes is probably the first to bring in the concept of trekking communities in the country. While their treks vary according to the season, they have atleast four to five expeditions every month. And, you can read up all about them on their website which documents each trek in detail (in case you want to go on one by yourself). We particularly love their Green Trails which make sure you don’t leave any garbage in your wake (you get an eco-bag for your trash).

More of an organisation than a club, Get Beyond Limits focusses on outdoor activities, and treks form a major part of them, we must say. Apart from trips to areas like Kunti Betta, Sharavati and Savandurga,  they also do treks for social causes (a recent one was for HIV-positive children).
