What Makes It Awesome

What do Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens, Frank Sinatara, Winston Churchill,  British Monarchy, and now this writer have in common? Well, they've all been groomed at the world's oldest barbershop, Truefitt & Hill. This writer got the closest and the most perfect shave a little closer home at Truefitt and Hills salon in Koramangala, Bangalore's fourth Truefitt & Hill after Lavelle Road, Indiranagar, and Sadashiv Nagar. Since a shave was long pending, The Royal Shave was what we went with. This is one of the signature services and it's a 45-minute shaving experience unlike any other.

Right from the start with wrapping the face with hot towels and exfoliating the face with a scrub to the relaxing facial massage and the application of aftershave at the end—you will feel pampered. And maybe also loved. This writer's regular barber gives Edward Scissorhands a run for his money. At Truefitt & Hill, it's all about that royal experience. The staff walks you through the entire process including telling you which product they are using on you. It’s worth noting that they use in-house products and that they select products based on your skin type. We quite like the smell of the Apsley Shaving Cream and the Athenian Water. In fact, you can pick up some hair care, beard, and face care products on your way out.

The salon offers A-Z of grooming services and all their signature services have The Royal prefixes. There are membership packages that give you access to discounts and special services.

Pro-Tip

If you are looking for an all-out experience or want to gift your best buddy a pampering session, book out The Royal Suite, a private room dedicated just for you. It’s also ideal for two people, so maybe you and your bestie can have a grooming sesh together.
