Wall clocks to teapots, we’re loving the colourful and quirky decor from Turkish Home Decor, a local decor label, that’s bringing them to our homes all the way from Turkey.

With Love, From Turkey

Based out of Hennur, Turkish Home Decor is a small-scale decor label that imports kitschy decor elements from Turkey and we’re loving the exotic charm that these pieces add to home sweet home. From wall plates to clocks and even cute little teapots, all of these decor pieces are bursting with colour and quirk. All handcrafted, these pieces are imported in batches from different parts of Turkey, every six months and are sold until stocks last.

Our favourite pieces include the ceramic wall plates with intricate patterns on them. Each piece is unique with no two looking the same. We had a tough time picking from the pops of yellow and blue, with stars on them, the gorgeous red paisley ones and the multi-coloured floral ones. They are just like the ones you get in Istanbul, at the famed Grand Bazaar. Prop them up on your empty walls for an instant home makeover as these conversation-starters are bound to transform boring white walls. Their cute little teapots are another winner with us and an added excuse for us to drink chai {not that we ever needed one} and they’ve got ceramic coasters too. And, of course, Turkish lamps are on sale. Lovely lanterns featuring intricate glasswork in an array of hues are on offer. Prices for the merch starts at INR 500 and goes up to INR 5,000. These make for great gifting options too.

Bringing Turkey To Bangalore

A two-year-old enterprise, Turkish Home Decor is run by Lavina Pais out of her home in Hennur, so expect a curated collection, not just any old stuff. An online brand, it operates primarily on Facebook. Lavina also sets up shop at exhibitions and flea markets like Sunday Soul Sante and Flea080 from time to time. Follow them on Facebook here to find out where they’ll be popping up next. Or you can directly place your orders on their Facebook Page itself. So give them a look-see and pick up a few Turkish treasures for your home.
