After traveling to Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi, The Under 25 Summit is making a stop at our fair city this Sunday. Around for its fifth edition, the youth summit promises to be bigger and better than before, covering topics across music, food, comedy, film, design, sports, literature, technology and art with its talks, workshops and activities. Yep! This is a big one and you don’t want to miss it. Still unconvinced? Here’s five reasons to clear your calendars for the Under 25 Summit.
Silent Discos, Mixology And Pop-Up Libraries: Why You Need To Be At The Under 25 Summit
Great Speakers
Probably our favourite part of the Under 25 Summit is the lineup of fantastic speakers from every field and line of work. This year is no exception as the list of guest speakers includes big names like Youtubers Jordindian and Nick of Beyounick, Shwetabari Shetty {co-founder of The Tribe Fitness Club and Zumba Queen}, Indian film actress Shraddha Srinath, star choreographer Terrence Lewis, rapper Brodha V and our very own Bangalore girl, illustrator Alicia Souza, amongst other interesting folk. Now’s your chance to rub shoulders with these accomplished guests and listen to their stories. How’s that for your daily dose of inspo?
Open Mic Stage
In this congregation of talented millennials, the open mic should make for quite a show. Musical performances, slam poetry or stand-up comedy, whatever your skill, get to showcase it on this cool platform to a fun audience and who knows where it’ll take you. So take your best material along with you to this one.
Pop-Up Library
Ah yes! All you bibliophiles are going to love this. You can stop by for a quick read at the pop-up library set up at the venue when you need a break from the bustling crowds and you’d prefer the company of good books. Plonk yourself on a bean bags and bury your nose in an engaging read here.
Silent Disco
Yep! There’s going to be a silent disco at the summit. Happening at different times during the day, get your headphones on and break it down to the tunes that up and coming DJs on the music circuit will be spinning. We love this idea at best of times, but paired with the other amazing stuff, we really wish we were all under 25 years!
Fun Workshops
Pick up a skill or two during your time here and sign yourself up for any of the workshops scheduled to take place. From storytelling, fitness, dance and even mixology, there’ll be plenty to learn here. With a workshop on artist management, conducted by Rohit Raj, the manager of Youtube star Bhuvan Bam, and a workshop on mixology organised by Social that’ll show you to mix non-alcoholic beverages like mocktails and coffee, there’s a lot of cool stuff to learn here.
