Esplanade in Indiranagar is giving you a taste of Calcutta in Bangalore. The Bengali food preparations are authentic, impactful yet simplistic. Bengali cuisine often goes under noticed so we are glad this restaurant exists and is giving folks a unique food experience. Also, for homesick Bengalis who are missing home, or for anyone who loves Bengali food, their menu is a wonderland.

Start your feast with the seasonal Aampora Sharbat which is a sweet chilled drink made from roasted mangoes, then move onto starters such as Chingrir Sahebi Kebab which is made from prawns, Choto Singhara which are bite-sized delights stuffed with cauliflower and potato mash enveloped in crisp deep-fried goodiness, Mochar Chop made from banana flower and more. Then move to the mains which include Cholar Daal, channa dal cooked with coconut for that sweet flavour; Echorer Dalna Curry cooked with jackfruit and potatoes in a rich gravy. Vegetarians you are going to be in heaven. But for those who love their mach and mangsho, there’s plenty in the form of fish fry, Doi Pona, Bhapa Chingri, Chital Maccher Muitha, Panchphoron Murgi and Mutton Dak Bungalow. Mop up all of this with loochi, steamed rice, kancha amer chutney (raw mango chutney), papad and also mishti doi, Aam Sandesh, rosomalai and Chanar Jalebi. Yum!

Also, keep a tab on their Instagram profile to be up to update with the different thalis and menus they are coming up with one after the another. Once in a while, they also host these Sunday unlimited buffets which are a a steal deal for both your pocket and your appetite.
