What's In Store?
As you enter the experience center, you are likely to stop in your tracks, because there is an installation made out of several modas {small Indian woven cane stools} at the entrance by artist Gunjan Gupta, that is really quirky. Unfortunately, that is not on sale, but the good news is that the rest of the experience center is.
The design of the experience centre is not about just stacking good looking furniture, but more about creating cohesive living spaces, which means, you can actually check out how a living room might look with Urban Ladder’s latest French inspired furniture collection — Eleanor — with sofas, bookshelves and more. Or their Malabar inspired collection of a pretty upholstered chase, wooden footed comfy sofas and tropical printed cushions. Plus, their dark wood Malabar bookcase.
But the additional good news is that the store will actually be stocking lots of home decor, which they didn’t really have online before. Say hi to polka-dotted bed linen, colourful woven rugs, vibrant cushion covers, reversible ones with different patterns and colour schemes on the two sides {these come in helpful pairs}. Further down into the store, you will spot a collection of quirky industrial and contemporary lamps, and Urban ladder’s selection of trendy statement armchairs {each one is a stunner}. These guys also do modular kitchens, where they are ready to provide end to end solutions, including a free consultation.
We also spotted some adorable love seats in colourful patchwork and floral chintz patterns, which we have been eyeing for quite sometime online.
Online Or Offline? Tale Your Pick
The upstairs section houses beds, bed linen, and other accessories for bedrooms. There is a very cool DIY {the Let’s Create zone} sort of a space, where basically Urban Ladder folks plan to do events, workshops and more. We are hoping, we will be invited to DIY sessions here soon. And a separate section called the Material Lab, is where you can go and have a look at the different kinds of woods, finishes and textures, you can choose for your furniture.
The physical store works for those who love to mix and match, and like to look at and feel their potential furniture or home decor. Liked something online, but not too sure about how it will look in your home? Then just go check it out at the experience center, where not only can you check out that love seat, but also pair a rug, bookshelf and a coffee table, while at it. Like something at the store, but don’t want to make a commitment right away? Then there is always scope to still order it online on the Urban Ladder site, once you have made up your mind. Here’s to enjoying the best of both worlds.
