This Millet Food Truck, Tripsy, Is Serving All Our Fave South Indian Dishes And Health Drinks Too
Shortcut
A Health Kick On Wheels
With bright green splashed across the truck and a stripy canopy to match, Tripsy is an all vegetarian food truck that is easy to spot. Only 50 days old, this food truck serves up familiar dishes like bissebele bhath, puliyogare and pongal all with a wholesome millet base that’s rich in fibre. And you can also get a millet based version of the South Indian classic idli-vada here. Wash it all down with their equally healthy list of drinks with very specific benefits. Yeah, that’s right. We spotted one that promises clear skin and their Red Cooler that they claim helps beat cholesterol. If you’re looking for something a little more worldly, they have a list of wheat bread sandwiches to choose from. Go for the conventional veg grill or chilly cheese or experiment a little with their fruit sandwich {we didn’t get to try it, so eat that one at your own risk}. Prices start at INR 70 and the most expensive item on their menu is their dry fruit milkshake, which is a reasonable INR 100.
Still finding its path, the truck is functional at the Bellandur Gate, and they stay open from 4 pm to 9 pm. But they also operate outside Cognizant, a tech park on Wind Tunnel Road — from 11 am to 7 pm.
#LBBTip
They’re planning to extend their list of services to catering at private events soon, so watch out for that.
