Boutique, dupatta and fabric store -- Viola is the place to go to get your tailoring needs sorted. You can't miss Viola even if you tried. The shop is one of the only stores in that part of Sanjay Nagar that doesn't look jaded and worn out. In fact, there are two Violas, located right opposite each other -- one store that exclusively stocks up on dupattas and fabrics, and the other, a full-fledged boutique where you can get all your occasion wear and regular wear outfits tailored.
The idea is that you can pick up fabrics from the dupatta store and head to the boutique to get your outfit stitched. Inside the fabric store, you'll find options like kalamkari, ikat, cotton, georgette, organza, velvet and even a sheer fabric that they called 'China material'. If you can't find the exact material you had in mind, just let them know and they will source it for you. Prices for the materials start from INR 400 per metre and go up depending on the fabric and its intricacies.
Once your material dilemma is sorted, head to the boutique store and let the ladies there take over. There are stacks upon stacks of clothes for you to sift through if you're looking for readymade options, but if you want to get something custom made, simply show them the outfit you were inspired by (we saw a piece similar to what Alia Bhatt wore in Kalank), and they will take care of the rest. You can get everything from kurtas, dresses and saree blouses stitched here. Their readymade collection includes lehengas and gowns (starting from INR 2,000), and even a range of kids clothes (just girls).
