For those of you who love the clean lines and finishes that this decade’s furniture seems to feature, blindly check out Wari Watai Store. Based out of Bangalore, the brand favours and features thoughtful design for the everyday. So function, great form, and finesse are all expressed in their pieces.
Largely designing furniture, and home linens at the moment, a lot of thought is put into each design and piece to let the material used really shine. Working closely with artisans, Wari Watai marries traditional knowledge with contemporary design sensibilities. We’re loving their furniture section. What first caught our eye was the Aide Memoire. A separator, the multimedia partition features woven cane, ceramic, copper plating with detailing, and birchwood. Another favourite is the pixel pouf. For more modern spaces that need a pop of colour or a low-key statement piece that’s versatile, the pouf can work as anything you want it to. Available in six colours, use it as a chair, ottoman, mini-work desk or backrest (for days when working on the floor is the mood); it’s playful and functional.
When it comes to their home linens, the eco-print cushions using merino felt will have you sitting cosy wherever they are. Featuring prints (pigment and all!) from actual rose, pomegranate and eucalyptus leaves or Kantha prints, the cushions are perfect for modern, indo-chic spaces.
